Maui is Wowie:  6 reasons to stay at  The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali

Palm trees and sunsets outside the The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali

Maui, Hawaii is one of my favorite places in the world! Stunning sunsets, low humidity and comfortable temperatures make you want to be outside the whole day. I stayed in Ka’anapali area, which has a wonderful beach boardwalk to stroll or exercise on every day. Stop and have a coffee, cocktail, shop or have a meal! Enjoy the great outdoors!

6 reasons to stay at  The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali

  1. Location, location, location.  The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali  sits on the oceanfront of the famous Ka’anapali Beach right in the center of a great ocean boardwalk in west Maui.  A great way to start your day is a nice walk along the beach boardwalk. Stop and have a coffee, lunch, or shopping are all within walking distance. Recently renovated the hotel offers the Mahele Market & Eatery, for grab and go breakfast and lunch items to suit the whole family. There is also a Starbucks Cafe on site.
  2.  End your day watching the beautiful sunsets. The most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen are right here!
  3. The View.  Sit on your balcony, at the pool, on the lawn, watch the world, and decompress.
  4. The pool. The water slide. Multiple pools overlooking Ka‘anapali Beach including an adults-only pool deck with an infinity pool and hot tub. All ages can enjoy a newly designed family area including an interactive splash zone and  270-foot water slide.
  5. Whalers Village is next door. Food courts, convenient stores, shopping, and restaurants! You can even sign up for hula lessons and lei making here. Great for souvenirs. Eat at Hula Grill on the waters edge at Whalers Village and try the Hula Pie.
  6. Easy access to Lahaina, the next town over. Take the hotel shuttle for free and explore. Be sure to explore Lahaina front street. It’s a cute and charming town with wonderful places to eat and shop. Be sure to dine at  Fleetwood’s on Front Street and visit the rooftop bar for a sunset cocktail.
  7. It’s a slice of heaven. You won’t regret it.

Travel Tips: My most recent visit was March 2023. It’s spring break in the U.S. so the area was busy. If you want to travel when it’s less crowded, book in April/May or October/November.

Also check out the  The Wailea Beach Resort by Marriott, another wonderful property in south Maui.
